Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

n = 1.62×10^6 m⁻¹

◆ Explanation -

Energy required to break 1 molecule of Br2 is -

E = 194×10^3 / 6.022×10^23

E = 3.22×10^-19 J/molecule

Let n be no of minimum wave number of photons required to break Br-Br bond.

n = 1 / λ

n = E / hc

n = 3.22×10^-19 / (6.63×10^-34 × 3×10^8)

n = 1.62×10^6 m⁻¹

Therefore, minimum wave number of photons required to break Br-Br bond is 1.62×10^6 m⁻¹.

Thanks dear...
