Yes Loksabha,the lower house of parliament , is more powerful than the upper house i.e. Rajyasabha . The Following reasons will explain it better.
Members of Loksabha are directly elected by citizen of country so it represents the voices of common Indian.In democracy number matters and clearly Loksabha has a edge over Rajyasabha in term of numbers.The fate of government depends on its strength in Loksabha. The point of time a government loses its vote of trust in Loksabha it has to resign.Money bill can only be introduced in Loksabha and the upper house has to pass it in 15 days.
