Basically H3BO3 is a weak tribasic acid but it water it doesn't ionize into H+ because it is a very weak acid but it acts as a Lewis acid by accepting electron i.e OH - from water and then it liberate very few amount of H+

so it can be considered as a Lewis acid but not as protic acid or Arrhenius acid
