acc to it ionic bonds are stronger than covalent bonds..... but then why Covalent solids have "Very high" melting points??

Ionic bonds have a higher melting point than covalent bonds.
BUT, covalent solids have a higher melting point.
Understood the difference... It is covalent solids not covalent bonds.
