Boron forms no compounds in uni positive state but thallium in uni positive state is quite stable.why?

This is because of presence of vacant d-orbital in Thallium that it forms a stable ini positive ion, while Boron does not have any vacant d-orbital so it forms no compounds in unipositive state.
