CH3COOH and NH3 are known as weakacid and weak base respectively Due to higher ionic concentration when both are added it  conducts electricity strongly .

  • Acetic acid (CH3COOH) is a weak acid and it has low value of dissociation constant whereas NH3 (ammonia) is a weak base and it also has a low value of dissociation constant .
  • When dissolved in water separately boh the compounds do not produce enough ions , as a result they conduct electricity weakly .
  • When mixing in the solutons it leads to a reaction known as acid - base neutralization reaction in which a water -soluble ionic compound is formed known as ammoniun acetate .
  • Ammonium acetate dissociates in water and is converted into ions completely .
