However, Sri Lankan followed a system called Majoritarianism by promoting the Sinhalese which led to a civil war. For example, In the Belgium constitution prescribes that the number of Dutch and French-speaking ministers shall be equal in the Central Govt. But in Sri Lankan the govt. followed preferential policies that favoured Sinhala community
