Both Belgium and Sri Lanka are democracies, however they follow different systems of power sharing. This can be justified through the following examples-
1. In Belgium, all the people were given equal status and opportunities, while in Srilanka, The majoritarian people i.e Sinhala community were given preference.
2. The constitution of Belgium enabled everyone to live together within the same country. While in Srilanka, the constitution protected only the buddhist people.
3. In Belgium, all the applicants were given opportunities while in Srilanka, only sinhala community applicants were given equal opportunities.
