Given  : both company A and B sell paper dolls but company

B sells twice as many dolls as company A.

company A sells their dolls at a price that 10% more than company B .company A sells 10000 dolls per quarter for a total 120000 £ sales .

To Find : how many more dolls would company A have to sell during the given quarter to have the same total sales in British pound as company B

Solution:

A sells 10000 dolls per quarter for a total 120000 British pound sales .

=> B sales = 2 * 10000 = 20000 dolls per quarter

Price at which A sold = 120000/10000  = 12 £

company A sells their dolls at a price that 10% more than company B

=> B price + (10/100) Bprice = 12

=> B price = 12/1.1

B sale = 20000

B revenue  =  20000 * 12/1.1  =  240000/1.1

More revenue required by A = 240000/1.1  -  120000

= ( 108000)/1.1

Price = 12

Dolls to be sold  =  ( 108000)/(1.1 * 12)  = 9000/1.1  = 8,181.81

= 8182

8182 more units need to be sold
