In frog, sperms fertilize egg in water, not in the female frog body.

Explanation:

  • There are two types of fertilization internal and external. In internal fertilization, the sperm fertilizes the egg inside the female body who produces the egg so here the fertilization is internal.
  • In external fertilization, females release the egg in the environment mostly in water and the egg is fertilized by the sperm in water, not in female body. So here fertilization occurs external to the female body.
  • So in frog fertilization of egg occur in water not in female body while in reptile internal fertilization takes place therefore in case of frogs fertilization is only external.
