Because Gymnosperms bear naked seeds
Angiosperms bear seeds inside the fruits and still classified into whether they have seeds with two cotyledons or have seeds with one cotyledon.
Plant embryo in seeds have structures called cotyledons.
Cotyledons are called as Seed leaves because in many instances they emerge and become green when the seed germinates.....
