(d) KOH has both ionic and covalent bond.

  • The potassium has only one electron in its outermost shell. It will donate this electron to OH group. Thus it forms ionic bond.
  • Covalent bond forms between oxygen and hydrogen. Here sharing of electron takes place between these atoms.
  • Methane is made by covalent bond, sodium chloride is made by ionic bond. Sulphur dioxide is made by covalent bond.
