the body prevent the loss of this essential substances by absorbing.

in pct, proximal convoluted tubule absorb salt, water, some amount of uric acid, etc are absorbed by active transport. presence of brush like structure to increase its surface area.

in henle's loop, recovery of salts and water takes place. approximately, 25% of sodium salts are absorbed.

in dct, distal convoluted tubule absorption of calcuim, sodium and chlorides takes place. it maintain the ph value of urine by adding protons and absorbing bicarbonates.

in collecting tubule, some drugs and water are absorbed.water's absorption takes place depending upon the need of the body.
