Growth hormone as the name indicates, is a hormone that controls the growth of body. If this hormone is under production, it causes a condition known as Dwarfism. Kids with condition have short stature. They also suffer with depression, stress and baldness in their early ages.
If growth hormone is overly produced by body, this is because of benign cancer in the somatotroph cells of pituitary gland, which produces growth hormone abnormally results in gigantism.
