Detergents

(1.it is not biodegradable

(2.it does

produce micells in hard water

(3.its cleaning action is strong

(4.it pollutes water

Cleaning action of soap- when soap is dissolved in water it forms a colloidal suspension in water to form micells in micells soap molecules are arranged with hydrocarbon ends and ionic ends directed outwards when a dirty cloth is put in water containing dissolved soap then hydocarbonends of soap molecules in the soap molecules in the micells attached to dust particles present in soap in this way the micells entaps dust particles by using hydrocarbon ends the ionic ends of soap molecules in the micells remain attach to water when the dirty cloth is egitated with soap in soap solution the dust particles are entapped by micells get dispursed in water due to which soap water become dirty but cloths get clean
