Yes by applying pressure substance can change their shape like when we apply pressure on pencil due to force and pressure pencil divided into two parts. By increasing or decreaseing temperature we can change its shape like water into vapour through evaporation. Thus By applying pressure and increasing or decreaseing temperature we can change its shape , size and properties also.

Heya folk !!!
Here's the answer you are looking for
Physical state is pressure and temperature dependent. If either pressure or temperature or both change then the state is affected.
Let's consider in the 1st case pressure is constant and temperature changes
If temp increases then kinetic energy will also increaseand hence the substance will be in liquid state. Whereas if temperature decreases then kinetic energy also decreases and hence the substance will be in solid state.
In second case temperature is constant and pressure changes.
If pressure increases then volume decreases and hence the substance is solid.
And if pressure decreases then volume increases and hence the substance is liquid or gas.
Finally if both are variable
If both pressure and temperature rise or fall then there would be no change in the physical state.
If pressure increases and temperature falls then volume drastically decreases and hence the substance is solid whereas if pressure decreases and temperature increases then volume drastically increases and hence the substance is liquid.
Therefore both temperature and pressure determine the state of substance whether it will be a liquid solid or gas.
