Both the Sparrow and Woodpecker eat worms. Why is the shape of their beaks different?

Sparrow makes nest and lay their eggs in it whereas woodpecker makes hole in a tree and lives in it. A sparrow doesn't need a beak like woodpecker because it will not help both of them in their live according to their habitats.
