In unicellular organism , whenever mitosis takes place it may be amitosis whereas In case of multicellualar organisms. division takes place properly dividing parent cell into daughter cells.

Explanation:

Mitosis is a type of equational division in which the daughter cell have same no. of chromosomes as that in parent cell.

Moreover when mitosis takes place in unicelular , it results in the formation of 2 daugher cells which develop as an individual organisms whereas in multiellular, the division takes place it results in the formation of cells that cannot survive individually .
