Both wind and water pollinated flowers are not very colorful and do not produce nectar.what would be the reason for this?

Read it as this - Since,these plants do not have colorful petals and can't produce nectar, hence, the insects are not attracted and thus, as an alternative, they pollinate by wind and water.
