Both winds and water pollinated flowers are not very colourful and do not produce nectar. What would be the reason dor this?

This is because, those plant doesn't need any insect(or any other vector) for their pollination. If they were colourful or would produce nectar, there would be less chance for water and wind pollination(Since many pollen would be carried by them).
