A cube has 6 surfaces,

The First given is that, the Bottom is empty, we have 5 surfaces left

we can designate them as follows,

             Back

Left        Top        Right

             Front

per the second given, X is between A and B

meaning that X represents a surface between two others, so X must be top.

Now A and B surfaces has to be on opposite sides.

The third given says that Y is always to the left of A, so we can get the following choices

1. A: Left, B: Right making Y: Back and Z: Front

2. A: Right, B: Left making Y: Front and Z: Back

3. A: Front, B: Back making Y: Left and Z: Right

4. A: Back, B: Front making Y: Right and Z: Left

but if we are to consider the third given saying that Y is literally to the left of A and of the cube at the same time.

This fixes our choice to be No. 3

and Z should be marked on the Right surface of the cube.

Bottom surface of cube is empty. X is marked between A and B. Y is marked on left of A. Then Z marked on Right surface of the cube.

  • A cube has 6 surfaces,
  • The First given is that, the Bottom is empty, we have 5 surfaces left per the second given, X is between A and B meaning that X represents a surface between two others, so X must be top.
  • Now A and B surfaces has to be on opposite sides.
  • For , A: Front, B: Back making Y: Left and Z: Right says that Y is literally to the left of A and of the cube at the same time.

This fixes our choice to be  A: Front, B: Back making Y: Left and Z: Right

and Z should be marked on the Right surface of the cube.
