The unit price of Granola is $3 per pound .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The price of 2 boxes of Granola = $4.50

The number of Granola in each boxes = 12 ounce

Let The unit price in dollars per pound = $x per pound

According to question

number of Granola in each boxes = 12 ounce

∵    1 ounce =  0.0625 pound

∴    12 ounce = 12 ×  0.0625  pound

                     = 0.75 pound

Again

∵  1 box contain 12 ounce Granola

i.e  1 box contain 0.75 pound Granola

∴   2  box contain  = 2 × 0.75 pound Granola

                              = 1.5 pound Granola

Again

∵   The price of 2 boxes of Granola = $4.50

i,e The price of 1.5 pound of Granola = $4.50

∴   The price of 1 pound of Granola = $ \dfrac{4.50}{1.5}

                                                          =$ 3 per pound

So, The  The price of 1 pound of Granola =$3 per pound

Hence, The unit price of Granola is $3 per pound . Answer
