Change into direct speech :-

Boys said , " We have bought ice-cream for everone. "

\underline{\huge\mathfrak{Answer:}}

Boys said that they had bought ice- cream for everyone .

\underline{\textbf{Speech:}}

Simply , anything we speak is referred to as speech . There are two types of speech :

★ Direct Speech.

★ Indirect Speech.

\textbf{Direct Speech:} The speech which is written within inverted commas is called the direct speech . This speech is always noted as directly spoken by the speaker appointed there .

Example : He said , " I am fine. "

( Here , 'He said' is the reporting clause and , ' I am fine ' is the reported clause . )

\textbf{Indirect Speech:} The speech written as in said by an another person after listening to the speaker . Here , the speech is not written within inverted commas and a connector is used to join the reported clause and the reporting clause .

Example : He said that he was fine .

Note :- Change in tense takes place , while a sentence is being changed from direct to indirect speech .
