Brain is covered by three layers call meninges. The outer meninx is the Dura matter, middle layer is the Duramater and the innermost layer which is in direct contact with the brain is call Piamater

The space present between the arachnoid membrane and Piamater is called sub arachnoid space which consists of Cerebro Spinal Fluid
