let the usual area be 54.

remove one of the 2 sided blocks. you'll get 2 new sides. which makes it 56.

remove the central block next to the formerly removed. youll lose 2 sides but get 4 more. so 58.

now remove all remaining central blocks.

a decrease of 5. and increase of 5x5 . 78.

Heya mate..❤✔

54

See...when we remove one out of the two sided blocks we get 2new sides which results in 56.

When we remove Central block that is next to the formerly removed block we loose 2 sides and we get more so we have 58

Now we will remove all blocks except the central block ,, a decrease of 5 and the increase of 5 × 5.

78 : answer
