Given:-

  • Resistance of each resistor s =6 omega.

To find :-

  • Equivalent resistance between A to B.

Solution :-

  1. Traditional method is to solve this type of problem is to convert the network in a simplified network.
  2. All the resistance are connected with point in A are all parallel

  • All three cases are connected in series.
  • Apply the formula of parallel connection in step 1

  •  \frac{1}{r1}  =  \frac{1}{a}  +  \frac{1}{b}
  •  \frac{1}{r 1}  =  \frac{1}{6}  +  \frac{1}{6}
  • r1=3omega .

  • Apply the formula of parallel connection in step 2

  •  \frac{1}{r2}  =  \frac{1}{d } +  \frac{1}{e}  +  \frac{1}{f}
  • r2=2omega

  • Apply the formula of parallel connection in step 3
  •  \frac{1}{r3}  =  \frac{1}{g}  +  \frac{1}{h}  +  \frac{1}{i}  +  \frac{1}{j}
  • r3 =  \frac{3}{2}
  • Therefore, now

  • Resistance of AB= r1+r2+r3
  • rab = 3 + 2 +  \frac{3}{2}
  • rab =  \frac{13}{2}
  • So, equivalent resistance of A to B is 13/2omega .

Hope it helps u mate.

Thank you.
