we can see that area = area of rectangle + area of the two triangles

then

distance = 20*30=600 (area of rec)

area of the triangle = 1/2 *10*30 = 150

area of another triangle = 225

In triangle 1

  • Height=20
  • Base=2

Area of a triangle:-

 \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 2 \times 20

area of triangle 1 is 20

area of triangle 2 is also 20 because the dimensions are same

Now, we have to find the area of rectangle

breadth \times length

  • Breadth=5-2=3
  • length=20

3 \times 20 = 60

Total distance covered by the object is:-

20+20+60=100
