Heya friend

here is your answer

the ratio of the two no. are 4:7

so, let the 2 no. be 4x and 7x

the larger no.is 7x and the smaller one 4x

here the given statement states that

thrice the larger no.= 3(7x)=21x

plus=sum= add= +

twice the smaller = 2(4x) =8x

is equal to = =

59

the equation is

21x + 8x = 59

they both are like terms so add them and keep variable as x

so, (21+8)x = 59

=> 29x = 59

=> x = 59/29

=> x = 2.3

=> x = 2.0 ( approx )

so, the no are

4x = 4*2= 8

7x = 7*2= 14

HOPE ITS HELP YOU

Here \: is \: the \: answer \: of \: your \: question

We have given;

Ratio of two numbers = 4 : 7

Now, let

First number be 4a

and Second number be 7a

It is also said in question that;

Thrice the larger number added to twice the smaller number.

So, let the larger number be 7a

and smaller number be 4a

And their sum is 59

Thrice the larger number means = 3 (7a)

= 21a

And Twice the smaller number means = 2 (4a)

= 8a

Now,

According to question;

If thrice the larger number added to the smaller number then the number is 59.

Means,

21a + 8a = 59

29a = 59

a = 59/29

a = 2.03

After rounding off,

a = 2

Now, put the value of a in both the larger and smaller number than;

Larger number = 7a = 7 (2)

Larger number = 14

And

Smaller number = 4a = 4 (2)

Smaller number = 8

So, the

\textbf{Numbers are = 14 and 8}
