We have given a puzzle in which we have to find the value or number in place of question mark (?).

Now, let's start...

There are total 5 rows as shown in figure.

I marked them with blue color to show the rows.

In first row .. there are total three circles.

In second row there are five circles.

In third row there are seven circles.

In fourth row there are again five circles.

And in last row i.e. fifth row there are three circles.

In Short :

1st row = 3 circles.

2nd row = 5 circles.

3rd row = 7 circles.

4th row = 5 circles.

5th row = 3 circles.

But wait! from 1st to 3rd row circles are increased by 2. But after 3rd row they again start decreasing. Means, In 3rd row there are 7 circles but in 4th there are only 5 instead of 9. (So, decrease by 2).

Now, to find the unknown number, let's first start with row 1.

Row 1 :

In row 1 there are 3 circles in which numbers are 4, 3 and 2.

Now, do the sum of first number and last number and then divide their sum by 2.

i.e.

=> \sf{\dfrac{4\:+\:2}{2}}

=> \sf{\dfrac{6}{2}}

=> \sf{3}

And according to question, middle of 1st row is 3.

Row 1 and Row 5 contains same number of circles. So, apply the same formula on Row 5 too.

Row 5 :

=> \sf{\dfrac{9\:+\:3}{2}}

=> \sf{\dfrac{12}{2}}

=> \sf{6}

Answer :- 6
