Brainliest question for IIT JEE Aspirants,
As we know, In Photoelectric Effect the intensity of light do not affect the KE of ejected electron.
But formula of Intensity(I) = 1/2(Enot)(E^2).c
Enot = epsilon (permitivty const.) , E = max electric field magn.
The intensity problem :
Wave theory requires that the oscillating electric field vector E of the light wave increases in amplitude as the intensity of the light beam is increased. Since the force applied to the electron is E, this suggests that the kinetic energy of the photoelectrons should also increased as the light beam is made more intense. However observation shows that maximum kinetic energy is independent of the light intensity.
can u clear my doubt because on increasing the I, E also increase and E supports electron and give him KE but intensity cant give KE to electron

I have done much work in writing my doubt so plz answer with mind using brain.

Explanation:

This is the problem faced by physicists all around the world

Photoelectric effect has more to do with particle nature of electron rather than the wave nature

So one cannot apply wave properties for photoelectric effect

Also there is a change when you increase intensity of light, the effect being MORE number of electrons are ejected instead of increasing the kinetic energy of the already emmitted electrons

Hope this answer helped you
