Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(iv)let it be ABC triangle

    AB=24

    BC=7

    AC=X

    by pythagoras theorem

    AC²=AB²+BC²

    AC²=(24)²+(7)²

    AC²=576+49

           =625

     AC=√625

           =25

(v)let it whole be ABC triangle and D on side BC which is equal to x

   in first part or in triangle ABD

   AB=AC=37

   AD=12

   AB²=AD²+BD²

   BD²=AB²-AD²

          =(37)²-(12)²

          =1369-144

   BD²=1225

   BD=√1225

        =35

 now in second part or in the ADC triangle

 AC²=AD²+CD²

 CD²=AC²-AD²

        =(37)²-(12)²

        =1225

 CD=√1225

      =35

 So, BC=35+35

            =70

(vi)let it be triangle ABC with sides 12 and 3

   AB=x

   BC=3

   AC=12

  AC²=BC²+AB²

  AB²=AC²-BC²

        =(12)²-(3)²

        =144-9

        =135

AB=√135
