HEY USeR ,

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER :-

Apical meristem -

# they are located on the top of the root , stem etc.

# They help in the growth of the root system as well as the shoot system .

# apical buds are ab example of apical meristem .

Intercalary meristem :-

# The intercalary meristem are located at the internodes or the base of leaves .

# This meristem help in increasing the thickness of the plants .

# This is usually seen in monocotyledonous plants .

Lateral meristem :-

# The lateral meristem are present on the lateral side of the stem and the root of a plant.

# These meristem help in increasing the thickness of the plants.

# vascular cambium and cork cambium are good example of this meristem .

1. Apical Meristem:

Apical meristem is Located at the growing points of the stem, roots, branches and in growing young leaves near the tips of stems and axillary buds.It enables the root and stem to grow by increasing the length of plants.

2. Lateral Meristem:

It is present laterally (on the sides) on the roots and stem and is situated parallel to the longitudinal axis below the bark.It is also found in vascular bundles of dicot roots and stems. The girth and width or diameter or thickness of the stem or root increases due to the lateral meristem.

3. Intercalary Meristem:

It is located at internodes or stem regions between the places at which leaves attach, and at leaf bases, especially of certain monocotyledons. The cells of the intercalary meristems are active and continuously form a number of new cells.
