If 1/2 of 5 is considered equal to 3

=> (1/2)*5 is considered equal to (1+2)*5/5 = 3

=> The result of (a/b)*c is considered equal to (a+b)*c/c and as multiplication of c/c will always lead to multiplication by 1 which is identity, so (a/b)*c = a+b

So (1/3)*10 should be considered equal to (1+3)*10/10 = (1+3) = 4

Another approach:

1/2 of 5 (=2.5) is considered equal to 3

=> the original answer (2.5) is increased by (0.5) or 20% in this country.

So (1/3)*10 = 3 1/3 = 3.333…

Now, this should be increase by 20% of 3.333… which is 0.66…

So, the answer in the country we are talking about = 3.33.. + 0.66.. = 4

Hope it helps uh✌✌✌

If 1/2 of 5 is considered EQUAL to 3

=(1\2)*5 is considered equal to (1+2)*5/5=3

= The result of (a/b)*c is considered equal to (a+b)*c/c and as multiplication of c/c will always lead to multiplication by 1 which is identify, so (a/b)*c=a+b

=So (1/3)*10 should be considered equal to (1+3)10/10=(1+3) = 4
