These days the demand for food and other goods is increasing but the production is very low because of the less land available and the shift of people from agriculture sector to other service and industrial sectors.
It is very important that the farmers increase the crop production in the same piece of land
This can be done by the following methods
1. Mixed cropping
This helps the farmer because if one crop fails he can then be benefited with the other crop and this even increases the production in the same land
• By using biological means
This can be a very good step by the cultivator. The farmers can opt for the bio pesticides, bio fertilisers (manures) so that the land doesn't get polluted with the chemicals by the chemical fertilisers and can be used for many years.
(Chemical fertilisers will definitely give a good yeild at the beginning, but the excess of them would lead to the pollution of the agricultural land and will lead the farmer to abandon the land as it will no more be fit for agricultural use)
• By regulating the use of fertilisers or pesticides used.
Hope it helps
