HEAT OBTAINED = HEAT REQUIRED TO RAISE THE TEMPERATURE OF WATER

HEAT PROVIDED TO WATER = Heat capacity × mass × ∆Temperature

4200 J × 1 kg × 2.5
= 10500 J

HEAT OBTAINED BY KEROSENE = 10500 J
MASS = 0.05 g

HEAT CAPACITY { calorific value } = Energy / mass { if ∆t = 1 }
HEAT CAPACITY ( ∆t = 1 ) = 10500/0.05

= 200000 J/g

OR

= 200 J/kg

ANSWER = 200 J/kg
