Dear Student,

Explanation :

A ) Predict what will happen when the wood with holes is put back into the water. Explain your prediction ?

Answer :

→ Wood float in water because they are less dense than water.

→ It floats because it weighs less than amount of water

→ Rocks are more dense, so they sink.

B ) Does the density of the block change on drilling holes?

➻ Answer :

→Yes, the density of the block increases on drilling holes.

→ Because : Fluids, such as water, have a certain density. If an object is more dense than water, it will sink; if it is less dense than water, it will float.
