1st case,
u = 72 km/h = 20 m/s
v= 36 km/h = 10 m/s
s = 200 m
as, v²-u² = 2as
⇒(10)²-(20)² = 2×a×200
⇒400a= -300
⇒a = - 0.75 m/s²
2nd case,
u= 10 m/s
v=0
a = -0.75 m/s²
as, v² -u² = 2as
⇒(0)²-(10)² = 2×(-0.75)×s
⇒1.5s = 100
⇒s = 66.67 m
