O is the centre of circle

OB is the radius

so OB=25.cm

and OM is perpendicular drawn from point O on chord AB

so we know that

A perpendicular drawn from centre of circle on its chord bisects the chord

thus then

AM=MB

ie AB=2AM (1)

so OM=4 cm

so now as OM perpendicular to AB

Angle OMB=90 degrees

Using Pythagoras Theorem on Triangle OMB

we get

OB²=OM²+MB²

MB²=OB²-OM²

=(25)²-(4)²

=625-16

=609

taking square roots on both sides we get

MB=√609

so thus then

hence length of chord is 2609 cm.
