The National Bravery Awards was given to the individuals who saved the lives from natural disasters.

There are about 25 Indian children below 16 years of age for the "meritorious acts of bravery against all odds."

The National Bravery Awards will be given by the Government of India as well as Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW).

The National Bravery Awards has been initiated since 1957.
