Breaking of glass tumbler and burning of paper are changes in which we cannot get back the original substances. What is the difference between these two changes?

Breaking of glass tumbler and burning of paper are changes in which we cannot get back the original substances. But these two changes have difference in its nature because in the case of glass tumbler the changes is only happening in its physical property. Because it's shape is only changing in this case. No new product is forming in this case. But on the second case the change is happened in its chemical property and that is also results in the formation of new products such as smoke, ash, smell, color, etc. That is the difference happened in the two cases.
