Hey friend,

Here's your answer,

HELEN'S VISIT TO THE WORLD FAIR

Helen visited to the World Fair in 1893 in summer. Miss Sullivan and Helen were accompanied by Dr. Alexander Graham Bell.

She used to make a trip round the world in her imagination, and she imagined many wonders from different parts of the Earth.

She used to observe marvels of invention, treasuries of industry and skill and all the activities of human life actually passed under her finger tips.

She then visited to Midway Plaisance. It was full of activities like a bazaar with Shiva and elephant-gods. She visited the pyramids, the lagoons from Venice and she even went on a board to a viking ship.

She even examined the model of the Santa Maria.

The best part for Helen was that Mr Higinbotham, president of the world's fair, gave Helen the permission to touch the exhibits. She was most fascinated by the French bronzes.

At the Cape of Good Hope exhibit, Helen learned about the process of mining diamonds. She touched the machinery when it was in motion, therefore, she got a clear idea of how the stones were weighed, , cut, and polished.

Dr. Graham Bell went with them everywhere and described to Helen, the objects of her interest. In the electrical building, they examined the telephones, autophones, phonographs, and made Helen understand how messages could be sent on wires.

These things taught Helen more about the progress of men. Helen found that she had matured from the fairy tales and was enjoying the real and the practical world.

Hope this helps!!!!
