before I answer , I am assuming that you know everyone of the 5 causes of French revolution i.e political, economic, social, intellectual and intermediate causes.
so now there was a great struggle for 3rd estate and they started revolution against Louis XVI and other estates . This revolution become concrete hard cause now both the side were using their whole strength to win against each other . people dies, kind was executed, Robespierre (reign of terror) was executed , the comes Napoleon Bonaparte but till that time people especially women struggle for freedom . this was the first revolution for freedom in the whole world so kingship don't want to be destroyed and hence there was many death that's it takes a concrete type hard shape.
