Myanmar had faced a lot of struggle for democracy. 

Aung San Suu Kyi was the lady who fought for democracy in myanmar. she tried her best to get democracy and finally succeeded. she was the leader of the national league for democracy in myanmar. in 1990, when the first elections were held, Suu Kyi won the elections but the military leaders did not recognize the elections. instead, they put her under house arrest. despite this, she continued her struggle for democracy. her campaigns won her international recognition. she was also awarded nobel peace prize.
