What will be experienced by the bricks ?

The two bricks will experience an upward force which is dependent on the weight and volume of the two bricks.

The upward force is called the buoyant force.

The buoyant force is exerted by the water itself.

What amount of water will be displaced ?

The amount of water that will be displaced is the volume of the brick that is immersed in water.

This is according to the Archimedes Principle.

Explanation :

The bricks have different volume as specified in the question.

Thus the brick with more volume will experience a greater force .

The brick with less volume will experience a smaller force.

The bricks will immerse if and only if the weight of the brick is more than the buoyant force.

Otherwise they will float if the forces are equal.

Hope it helps !
