bridge or automobile are either painted or coated with zinc to prevent rusting.why aren’t they electroplating

tin is less reactive than iron.so,ironcans used for food items are electroplated with tin to protect to prevent spoilage from contact with- iron used in bridges and automobiles is electroplated with coating of zinc to protect it from corrosion and formation of Rust.
