Here's your answer

An object is said to be in motion if it changes it's position with the passage of time. In other words, the movement of an object is known as the motion of the object.

When we say that a body or an object is in motion, then it's essential to know whether the body or object changes it's position with respect to other bodies or objects around it or with respect to any fixed point known as reference point.

Types of motion :

1. Linear motion - A body has linear motion if it moves in a straight line or path.

E.g. 1. Motion of a moving car on a straight road.

2. Circular motion - A body has circular motion if it moves around a fixed point.

E.g. Motion of an electric fan.

3. Vibratory motion - A body has circular motion if it moves to and fro about fixed point.

E.g. Motion of a pendulum of a wall clock.

Hope this helps!!!
