:The Bhopal Gas disaster that happened on 2-3rd December, 1984, is one of the worst industrial disasters to have occurred in the world. A pesticide factory of Union Carbide that conatined a highly poisonous Methyl Isocynate gas along with Hydrogen cyanide reacted causing leakage due to some technical mishap. This incident occurred around 12.30 am, killing many people in their sleep and thousands, who survived still suffer from one or many ailments like blindness, impaired immune system, gastrointestinal disorders etc.as the extremely posionous fumes engulfed the city of Bhopal.
