A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, retraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.

Hey dear

M so glad because of this question.Rainbows are formed due to an amazing phenomenon of light. As you know when it rains and sun is shining then due to the scattering of light we get light spectrum that is the rainbow!!

Sun light first gets reflected in the outer surface of the rain drop and then gets refracted inside the droplate. This process goes on and we get the 7 colours.

Rainbows are really majestic and I love them very much!!

Hope it helps
