Rajendra Prasad was the first President of India. He was the president from 1950 to 1962. He was an Indian political leader and lawyer.Prasad joined the Indian National Congress during the Indian Independence Movement. He became a major leader from Bihar. He is a supporter of Mahatma Gandhi. Prasad was put in jail by Britishers during the Salt Satyagraha of 1931. He was also put in jail during the Quit India movement of 1942.
