The skeleton system provides shape and for to the body. It also protects the body and allows it's movement.
The skeleton system is made up bones. There are 206 bones in an adult human body. to which softer tissues and other organs of the body are attached.
The movement of the body are carried out as a result of the interaction between the muscles and the skeleton system. Tendons are long, flexible cables that connect muscles to the bones; while ligaments are connect two or more bones together. The cartilage is a tough, elastic-like substance that holds the bones in place at joints. Without the protective cartilage, the bones would rub against each other and wear out.
